Sandra Bullock with Rihanna, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Dakota Fanning, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson and Awkwafina are currently busy with various processes for Ocean's Eight movie, a spin off of the Ocean trilogy previously starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt. There is no detail about the plot of Ocean's Eight story, but Sandra Bullock is said to be playing the younger brother of Danny Ocean, and the film will tell the theft in Met Gala, New York.
Reporting from Entertainment Weeklu, Bullock talks about his 'risky' making a movie with an all-female lineup, he's in the mirror with what happened to the Ghostbusters reboot that had failed in terms of box office. So learn from these mistakes, Bullock confirmed if Ocean's Eight is not a reboot like Ghostbuster. As you can see below:
"They made Ghostbuster fail and I'm still trying to figure out why. There are four or five most talented comedians in the film. So, we (Ocean's Eight) is not a reboot. We just made that 'this is what happened in 2017'. This is a parallel story from another family member who grew up in the Danny Ocean family. "

He also admits if there is a negative comment about the entire cast of women who 'replaced' George Clooney, Brad Pitt and his colleagues, but Bullock does not seem to want to take a headache and says if they will have a different assessment after the film was released.
It looks like the Ocean's Eight production team is well aware of the risks of altering the previous stars with women. However, technically this is a spin off movie, which will probably be as entertaining as the original Ocean trilogy. And to emphasize that Ocean's Eight is part of the Ocean trilogy, actor Matt Damon will be present in the film with his role as Linus Caldwell.
