WARTA KOTA, PALMERAH – Minister of Youth and Sports RI Imam Nahrawi opened a photo exhibition entitled Indonesian Sport Heroes at Ciputra Mall, Grogol, West Jakarta, Monday, 13 November 2017 afternoon.
The exhibition was held to welcome the Asian Games XVIII / 2018 which will take place in Jakarta-Palembang, August 18 to September 2 next.
According to Imam, as the host, all efforts should continue to be encouraged and utilized for the success of the 2018 Asian Games event.
The photo exhibition depicting the long history of Indonesia's sporting achievement is also the best momentum that can be used to move and spark the spirit towards the Asian Games.
"This is the best momentum to move our spirit towards the 2018 Asian Games. The exhibition of this photo at the same time a clear reminder illustrates that no achievements are achieved instantly, but there is sacrifice, struggle and endless dedication in it," said Imam in his speech .
Spoken by Imam, this exhibition is not merely a photograph depicting our sportsmen.
Moreover, this photo exhibition also recounts the journey of Indonesian sports achievement.
"Therefore, it is our duty to publish these sports photographs in an effort to participate to bring the spirit to achieve greater achievements in the future," added Menpora.
The sports photo exhibition organized by Inasgoc is intended to further inflame the Asian Games event which counts live for nine months.
A total of 150 photos of 34 photographers and journalists are on display until Sunday, November 19th.
