1st low-cost transport in France

For the first time the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) has made an initial assessment of low-cost long-haul carriers (TBC).
TBC's market share in France is 32% of total traffic in 2016, and is particularly strong for other European countries (50%).
In the shadow of the two giants of the sector easyjet (42% of the market) and Ryanair (18%), Transavia and Volotea are experiencing significant growth with the Dutch company a + 30% increase in the number of passengers transported , while the Spanish company established its growth at + 31%.
The year 2016 was particularly difficult for the small provincial airports, as traffic showed signs of contraction, in particular due to the decrease in traffic recorded by Ryanair.
